A Cherry Margarita is sweet, tart, and citrusy with that classic Tequila TapatĂ­o Blanco bite.

 2 oz Tequila TapatĂ­o Blanco(40% ABV)
 1 oz Fresh Lime Juice(About 1 Lime)
 1 oz Cherry Syrup(Recipe Below)
 ½ oz Triple Sec(Like Cointreau)
 Ice
 Garnish with Fresh Cherries & Lime WheelOptional: Salt or Sugar for Rim

Ingredients for Cherry Syrup:

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen cherries (pitted)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water

Method for Cherry Syrup: 

  • Simmer 5-7 minutes, mash slightly, strain, and cool.

Keeps in the fridge for up to a week.

(Shortcut: use high-quality cherry juice or a splash of maraschino cherry juice if you're in a rush.)

Rim glass by rubbing a lime wedge on the edge of the glass then dip in salt or sugar.

In a cocktail shaker, combine ingredients and shake until chilled completely.

Strain and pour cocktail into rimmed glass.

Garnish with fresh cherries and a lime wheel. Enjoy!
